eReaders vs Printed Pages

Dr. Robinson has recommended parents print out the materials of the Robinson Curriculum rather than use eReaders whenever possible. But the convenience and low cost of eReaders makes it a challenge to tow the line on his recommendation. Now more and more studies are coming out about the benefits of learning from the printed page.

While it is tempting to take up Amazon’s offers of a cheap Kindle, the educational cost to the student may be much higher than you would knowingly want to pay.

Meanwhile the cost of printing on paper with a home printer is dropping dramatically. Black and white pages can printed for 1/5 of a cent per page while color is about a penny a page with Epson’s new inkjet printers. See: https://www.robinsoncurriculum.com/printer-recommendations/
